Made in the early years of Belgium, around 1830 to 1840, this Georgian ring bears the horse’s head control mark, among the earliest Belgian gold marks used after independence. It is set with seven rose cut diamonds in silver over 18 carat red gold. Its slim, gently curving line and softly irregular old cuts give it a quiet intimacy that suits the period beautifully.
