Up for auction is the rarest of the French WW2 US language guides: a 1943 copy of the United States Army Technical Manual TM 30-243 entitled "French Phrase book" with the very early brown cover. It covers many useful Italian words and phrases as required for the Europe Invasion/invasion of France/Normandy This booklet was printed in january 1943, prior to the invasion of Europe during D-Day, to facilitate interrogation and communication of/between Italian resistance, Italian nationals, etc. This version with leather-like cover is very difficult to find, the most desirable version!
