Flying Dutchman ca 1900 children’s toy vehicle
This children’s vehicle has survived in complete and original condition, which is pretty rare. It has got feet-steering via the front wheel axle and is propelled by pushing and pulling wooden levers that are connected to a set of cogwheels that drive the rear wheel. The sprung seat is adjustable and the total length of the vehicle is 130 cm, height of drawbars 70 cm. The front wheels have a diameter of ca 30 cm, the rear wheels are ca 40 cm in diameter. This very well preserved children’s toy vehicle has been displayed for years in the collection of Mr Wouters of the Musée du Cycle in Falmignoul, Belgium.
