Ferrari blood in a Fiat suit

An elegant Italian coupé, designed by the legendary Bertone, with a V6 under the bonnet whose origins can be traced directly back to Ferrari.

The name Dino pays tribute to Alfredo Ferrari, the son of Enzo Ferrari. In the 1960s, Ferrari was developing a new V6 engine required for Formula 2 homologation. Ferrari therefore had to produce a substantial number of engines, leading to a remarkable collaboration between Ferrari and Fiat. The result was unique: Ferrari engineering in a Fiat, wrapped in a car that was stylish, sporting and genuinely usable at the same time.

From 1969 onwards, production of the Dino 2400 was also moved to Maranello, where the Fiat was built alongside the Ferrari 246 GT.

Behind the wheel, the character of the Dino truly comes alive. The V6 revs eagerly and melodiously, while the rear-wheel drive gives the car that wonderfully playful, mechanical feel.

The car spent many years in Switzerland, where it underwent an extensive body restoration. The engine was subsequently thoroughly rebuilt in England, with further attention given to its mechanical components in 2017.

The Dino later made its way to the Netherlands, where further investment was made in both its mechanicals and interior.

The most recent and most comprehensive work was carried out by Mugello Engineering. There, the engine was completely stripped down and thoroughly rebuilt from the ground up — a full overhaul in which the mechanicals were genuinely rebuilt from their foundations.

As a result, the technical basis of this Dino has once again received serious attention. The result is a car in which its remarkable Ferrari heritage is not merely interesting on paper, but something you can genuinely feel from behind the wheel.
