Decoudun + Bee meter 2 Extinction meters

Two sought-after extinction lightmeters from Decoudun, invented in 1885 and a Watkin's Bee meter in the shape of a pocket watch. In an Actinometer a small test exposiure is made on sensitive paper. The user watchesuntil its density matches that of a comparison density. Actinometers became popular during the 1890s and remained so through to the 1920s. The Bee meter where the meter is in the form of a pocket watch became very popular, the Wynne (1893) and later Bee (1902) are two examples.
