Illustrated with title vignette, frontispiece 'The Death of Sherlock Holmes', and 24 full page plates and capital initials by Sidney Paget. Published by George Newnes, LTD, London, MDCCCCII (1902). Publisher's original dark blue cloth lettered and decorated in gilt on spine and on front (although partially faded), and blind-stamped on back cover. Top page edges gilt.

Condition:
Solid and well-bound book. Spine ends bumped. Significant amount of faded white and brown stain marks on covers. Internally: very decent condition. No writing or inscriptions. Brown spotting and small cracks to some pages. Pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are good. All plates are present and bright (see pictures).
