The Canon EF 35mm F2 is a medium wideangle prime lens for Canon DSLRs. A relatively old design, this lens' key selling points are its small size and light weight, and relatively low cost. Its minimum focusing distance of 25cm is useful for closeup photography and at F2 depth of field is shallow enough for reasonably subject/background separation in close-range portraiture.
