For a tour and safari company based in Cape Town, we are looking for motivated Students. The company specializes in creating holidays for groups touring together or independent travelers, preferring self-drives in Southern Africa. They primarily focuse on the United Kingdom and German FIT markets and are looking for a suitable intern to join their team.
Internship:
• Daily working time: 8.30- 17.30
Requierements:
• Fluency in German and English language, ideally also in another European language
(Spanisch, French, Dutch etc.)
• Touristic background, ideally previous work experience with tour operator
• Drivers License
• Laptop
• Ability to work independently and confidence on the phone
• Creativity, flexibility and capability of adapting to life in South Africa
Job description and areas of responsibility:
• General assistance to consultants
• Following up on suppliers and request rates
• Product research and development
• Partaking in product knowledge work shops
• Site inspections
• Website and social media updates
• Itinerary writing and package costing
• Preparation of tour documents and filing
• Maintain databases and update booking system database
• Assist with preparation for trade shows (ITB, Indaba)
